Installing the IntelliJack™ System
A two-foot cube of soil is excavated at each IntelliJack™ location to address weak foundation soils or the effects changing moisture conditions. The hole is then filled with concrete or engineered fill to create a stable, load-bearing footing. The custom-engineered IntelliJack™ base is then positioned on top of this material to hold the IntelliJack™ in place and properly distribute loads.
Next, high-strength, galvanized steel tubing is cut to the appropriate height. The steel column and components are assembled and connected to the support beam and the IntelliJack™ system is tightened into place. The support beam and floor joists are immediately stabilized and the above floors and walls can be lifted back toward level.
Unlike the other options mentioned above, the IntelliJack™ is the only option that actually stabilizes the soil underneath it, thanks to the IntelliJack™ base and the engineered fill it sits upon. Once installed, the system provides immediate stabilization and lift. The components are made of zinc-plated and hot-dip galvanized steel to prevent rust and eliminate weakening from moisture, mold and wood rot. Best of all, installation is quick — often taking less than a day — and can be done year-round.
