Lee’s Summit, MO – The impacts of the pandemic have proven to be devastating to many local businesses. Few have been as affected as the restaurant industry. Foundation Recovery Systems is teaming up with local restaurant Jack Stack BBQ to provide meals for dozens of essential employees and their families. On Tuesday, May 19, 2020, employees from the Kansas City branch of Foundation Recovery Systems will be visiting Jack Stack BBQ to receive a meal for a family of four at no cost to the employee. This program known as the Serve and Support initiative, launched in April, and each month Foundation Recovery Systems will partner with a different local restaurant in the community to serve these family meals through the conclusion of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
“Local restaurants are truly feeling the impact of this pandemic. These are our friends and neighbors,” stated Jeffrey Martin, Regional Manager West. “It was an opportunity to not only support our community partners but to also show appreciation of our team members who continue to serve our customers daily. We are proud to be able to both help these businesses and give back to our amazing employees and their families.”
The restaurant was chosen through feedback from the Foundation Recovery Systems employees. This is part of an ongoing national initiative led by Foundation Recovery Systems’ parent company Groundworks, where they are investing over $50,000 per month toward the Serve and Support program. To date, the company has committed over $100,000 towards this initiative.
