Foundation Recovery Systems is thrilled to sponsor the Des Moines Area Community College 5K Walk/Run as the Race Bib Sponsor! This annual event is more than a race—it’s a celebration of the power of education. With nearly $13,000 raised for the DMACC Foundation Student Scholarships, the impact of this event will help students achieve their educational dreams.

A Day of Fun and Impact

Held on Sept. 28, 2024, the DMACC 5K Walk/Run brought together participants of all ages for a morning filled with excitement and community spirit.

• 5K Walk/Run: A certified race route that included registration perks like a race bag, a Brooks™ dri-fit shirt, a medal, and a warm breakfast burrito.
• Kids Fun Run: Tailored for ages 3-7 with short, age-appropriate distances and medals for all participants. The Fun Zone provided even more enjoyment for families.
• Community Vibes: Leashed dogs and strollers joined in on the fun, making it a truly inclusive event.

Foundation Recovery Systems’ Involvement in Supporting Education

Proceeds from the race benefit the DMACC Foundation Student Scholarships, which help students access affordable and valuable education. DMACC, one of the nation’s top-rated two-year institutions, is committed to providing opportunities that empower students and strengthen the community.
