What is Crawl Space Conversion?
Crawl space conversion is sometimes called crawl space waterproofing, or crawl space encapsulation. It consists of:
- Sealing
Sealing off your crawl space from the outside by fitting high-quality vent covers.
- Insulating
Hard foam or foam matting insulation provides a drier, more controlled climate, which is better for the health of your home.
- Encapsulation
The actual process of encapsulation involves fitting vapor barriers to keep dirt, pests, and damp outside of your property.
- Conditioning
Once a crawl space is sealed and encapsulated, it will usually need to be attached to the home’s air conditioning systems to ensure it stays comfortable and safe.
