Challenge

The basement in this home was starting to leak and the customer felt that they needed more French Drain added to their system. About a year ago, this customer had a BasementGutter Drainage System and a Sump Pump system installed in their basement. However, now the home is taking water elsewhere. Foundation Recovery Systems installed a liner to help get rid of the un necessary water and also a SunHouse Window Well to allow light to come through.

Solution

The Pinkie Roll, also known as the Wall Liner, is a heavy and durable plastic liner (much like a pool liner) that provides a vapor barrier which drains the water behind it. Because of the whiteness of the liner, it dramatically brightens the whole basement. After the Wall Liner is hung, there many be little “waves” in it because the liner comes off of a roll rather than in panels. With the installment of the Wall Liner, mold will not likely grow on it because mold will not grow on clean, wet concrete or plastic. The only way for mold to grow on the Wall Liner is if there is dirt on the plastic. The SunHouse Window Well features a sturdy, clear cover that fits in nicely in the wall, plus a bottom that prevents weed growth; it also keeps leaves, debris and rain out. The benefits of the SunHouse Window Well is that the light-colored bottom allows more sunlight to come into your basement which brightens up the space. With the installments of the Wall Liner and the SunHouse Window Well, the basement looks clean and professional!
