The spacious ranch-style home in Lebanon, Missouri appeared to be in top shape to the passers-by. Underneath it told a different story. Excessive ground water and high humidity over time had caused serious wood rot in the large crawl space and settlement of the foundation walls. The beautiful home was essentially sitting on rotted wood and a failing foundation. Naturally, this caused worry and stress for the homeowners and led to them contacting Foundation Recovery Systems to seek a solution.
After the System Design Specialist came to their home to inspect it, he informed them of the serious situation underneath the home. In addition to the mulitple services needs, there was a large square footage of space that needed attention. For everything needed to fully restore beneath the home, it was going to cost over $70,000.
Even though the proposed amount was a startling number, the homeowners proceeded with the series of projects. They stated that the most important thing to them was to restore the value of their beloved home, and these issues would not improve or fix themselves.
Over the course of 4.5 days, the production crew installed 26 push piers to stabilize the foundation, 33 floor joists to stabilize the floors, and 2,375 square feet of CrawlSeal encapsulation, drainage matting, and a Sani Dry dehumidifier to keep the crawl space dry moving forward. Because the crawl space was only 3 feet in height, the process was made slower, however the homeowners were blown away upon completion of the project.
Despite the daunting cost of the project, the value of a restored, safe and happy home is priceless, and this is what the homeowners were able to receive by deciding to invest in a permanent solution.
